Events & Listings Policy

UrbanMixr.uk welcomes submissions for events and listings from venues, event organisers, promoters, public relations professionals, and cultural institutions operating across the United Kingdom. We aim to provide our readers with accurate, timely, and useful information about city culture, entertainment, nightlife, food, music, and lifestyle events in UK cities. To submit an event for consideration, please email events@urbanmixr.uk with all relevant details. Our editorial team reviews every submission, but please note that inclusion is not guaranteed.

What to include in your submission

To help us assess your event quickly and accurately, please provide the following information in your email:

Event name — the official title as it should appear
Venue name and full address — including city and postcode
Date and time — start and end times, with time zone (always GMT/BST)
Ticket information — price range, booking link, and whether tickets are free, paid, or donation-based
Age restrictions — if applicable (e.g. 18+, 14+, family-friendly)
Accessibility information — step-free access, hearing loops, wheelchair spaces, or any other relevant details
Images — high-resolution, properly attributed, and cleared for editorial use (please include credit and caption)
Contact details — a named contact, phone number, and email for follow-up

Submissions missing key information may not be processed. We recommend sending your event at least two weeks in advance to allow for editorial review and scheduling.

Editorial review and independence

All submissions are reviewed by our editorial team, led by Emily Ward, UK Managing Editor, and Sophie Larkin, Culture & Events Editor. They assess each event for relevance to our UK city-culture audience, accuracy of information, and alignment with our editorial standards. Submission does not guarantee coverage, and we reserve the right to decline or edit listings for clarity, length, or factual accuracy. Paid placements and sponsored listings

If you wish to guarantee placement or promote an event with enhanced visibility, we offer paid options through our commercial team. These include sponsored listings, featured placements, and advertising packages. All paid content is clearly labelled as such and complies with our Sponsored Content Policy. Editorial coverage is never conditional on payment, and our commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.

When you submit an event to us, we collect the personal information you provide (such as your name, email address, and phone number) solely for the purpose of processing your submission and communicating with you about it. Who reviews your submission

Once received, your event is reviewed by Emily Ward (UK Managing Editor) and Sophie Larkin (Culture & Events Editor). They coordinate with the wider editorial team to ensure listings are accurate, well-sourced, and useful for our readers. Corrections and updates
