Antalya enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The live forecast above shows current conditions. The best time for most UK travellers is late spring or early autumn, when temperatures are pleasant for sightseeing and beach days and crowds are thinner.
When is the best month to visit Antalya?
May, June, September and October are the sweet spot: daytime highs of 25–30°C, sea temperatures warm enough for swimming, and fewer families than in the school holidays. July and August are scorching (often above 35°C) and busy, while December–February are cooler (around 15°C) and wetter – still fine for exploring ruins if you pack a raincoat.
What should you pack for Antalya?
Lightweight clothes, sun protection and a swimsuit from May to October. For spring and autumn trips, bring a light jacket or jumper for cooler evenings. In winter (December–February), add a waterproof coat and layers – temperatures drop to about 10°C at night. Comfortable walking shoes are useful year-round for old town and archaeological sites.
Is Antalya hot in February?
February is mild but not hot. Daytime highs average around 16–18°C, with cooler evenings and occasional rain. It’s comfortable for sightseeing but not for swimming without a wetsuit.
How reliable are 14-day or 30-day forecasts for Antalya?
Long-range forecasts (14 days, 21 days or 30 days) give a general trend but are less accurate than short-range ones. For trip planning, check the live forecast above and the BBC 10-day outlook closer to travel.
When is the rainy season in Antalya?
The wettest months are December, January and February, with about half the annual rainfall falling then. April and May still see some showers, but by June the dry summer pattern is firmly established.
