Elle Smith: Miss USA 2021, Age, Partner, Leah Connection

Search “Elle Smith” and you’re really looking for two different people: a beauty queen, and a name that keeps showing up in gossip about England footballer Leah Williamson. The verified version is easier to pin down: University of Kentucky alumni records confirm Smith won Miss USA 2021 before building a journalism career, while the other version lives in search queries and social chatter with almost nothing solid behind it.

Miss USA title: 2021 · Born: June 1998 (sources differ on day) · Birthplace: Springfield, Ohio, USA · Reported education: University of Kentucky · Known acting credit: Jack Harlow Feat. Drake: Churchill Downs (2022) · Social: Instagram @officialellesmith · Facebook @ellesmithtv

Six facts, one pattern: the strongest documentation comes from the university that trained Smith and the pageant stage that made her known.

Who is Elle Smith?

Elle Smith is the professional name of Ellen Elizabeth Smith, an American journalist and beauty-pageant titleholder from Springfield, Ohio (Wikipedia). Here’s what the record shows, layer by layer.

Elle Smith’s early life and education

• Smith grew up in Springfield, Ohio, and graduated from Shawnee High School in 2016 (Wikipedia).
• University of Kentucky alumni materials list a 2020 bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, with a minor in political science (University of Kentucky alumni profile (official university record)).
• While in Lexington, she was part of the university’s National Association of Black Journalists chapter (same alumni profile).
• According to the children’s encyclopedia Kiddle (children’s encyclopedia), she represented Germantown, Louisville, in the Miss Kentucky USA competition — a lower-tier detail, so treat it as secondary.

Miss USA 2021 and Miss Universe

• Smith won Miss Kentucky USA 2021, her first pageant, according to the University of Kentucky alumni profile.
• The Miss USA 2021 final was held on November 29, 2021, at River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma (same source).
• She then represented the United States at Miss Universe 2021 and placed in the Top 10 (Wikipedia).

Journalism, acting, and media career

• After graduating, Smith worked as an on-air reporter for WHAS-TV in Louisville, Kentucky, and covered Southern Indiana (University of Kentucky alumni profile; Wikipedia).
• Her public profile materials also list an acting credit in the 2022 music video “Jack Harlow Feat. Drake: Churchill Downs.”

Ella Smith spelling variants

• Search engines often show “Ella Smith” as a corrected or alternate query, but the Miss USA titleholder uses “Elle” throughout her pageant record, Wikipedia entry, and University of Kentucky alumni profile.
• If a page says “Ella Smith” and does not mention Miss USA or Kentucky, it may be a different person entirely.

How old is Elle Smith?

The month and year are consistent; the day is not. That’s the short version of Smith’s age problem.

Date and place of birth

• Born in Springfield, Ohio, in June 1998 (Wikipedia).
• Most references give the day as June 19 (Wikipedia), while IMDb lists June 20.

Birthday discrepancies in public sources

• Wikipedia’s biographical summary sets the date as June 19, 1998.
• IMDb’s biography page sets it as June 20, 1998.

Neither source explains the one-day difference. The discrepancy matters because a reader asking “how old is Elle Smith” will get different answers depending on the database they hit.

Calculating Elle Smith’s age

• The University of Kentucky described Smith as 23 years old during her Miss USA 2021 reign (University of Kentucky alumni profile).
• If she was born in June 1998, she would turn 27 in mid-2025 and 28 in 2026 (arithmetic from the 1998 birth year).

The implication: “June 1998” is the verifiable anchor. Any source that prints a specific day without acknowledging the June 19/June 20 split is overstating the record.

Who is Elle Smith’s partner?

This is where the verified biography runs out. The sources used for this profile document her career, education, and pageant titles — not a current romantic partner.

What Elle Smith has publicly shared about her relationship

• Her public channels show a social media presence, but the available biographical references do not name a boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, or fiancé.
• A recent Instagram caption from October 2025 — “barefaced and in the sun with @asulprusia” — reads like a casual friend post, not a relationship announcement.

Same-name confusion with the person linked to Leah Williamson

• Google’s People Also Ask results repeatedly pair Elle Smith with Leah Williamson, the England and Arsenal footballer.
• No reliable public statement in the provided sources confirms that the Miss USA titleholder is the same Elle Smith in those results.
• The pairing appears to come from name matching plus social-media chatter, not from a primary announcement.

Confirmed relationship details vs. public speculation

• Confirmed: Elle Smith won Miss USA 2021 (University of Kentucky alumni profile), graduated from the University of Kentucky, and worked in local TV news.
• Unconfirmed: that she is dating Leah Williamson, or anyone else named in search queries.

The trade-off: answer “Who is Elle Smith’s partner?” honestly and the honest answer is “no reliable source says.” That frustrates the search intent, but it protects the reader from rumor dressed as fact.

Who is Leah Williamson in a relationship with?

Leah Williamson’s career and public profile

• Leah Williamson is an English professional footballer who plays for Arsenal and the England women’s national team, making her a frequent object of fan attention.
• Her fame is football-based; most relationship questions about her come from fan culture, not official statements.

Jordan Nobbs and Alex Scott: teammate questions

• People also ask whether Williamson dated Jordan Nobbs or Alex Scott.
• The sources reviewed here contain no confirmation of a romantic relationship with either.
• These are teammate and colleague names that attract speculation; they are not evidence.

Dating history: who has Leah Williamson dated?

• No verified dating history appears in the source set.
• The honest position is that Williamson’s personal life is largely private and outside the reliable public record.

Leah Williamson’s reported salary and net worth

• The provided sources do not include a verified salary figure or net worth for Williamson.
• Any number circulating online should be treated as unconfirmed unless it comes from an official contract report or a disclosure from the player or her club.

The pattern: the questions around Williamson multiply faster than the documentation. That gap is itself the story.

How long have Leah Williamson and Elle Smith been together?

This is the most specific question in the search stream, and it has the thinnest evidence behind it.

When did reports of the relationship first appear?

• There is no confirmed first report in the source record.
• Search interest appears to have grown from social-media speculation and People Also Ask queries, not from a dated announcement.

What has been officially confirmed?

• No primary statement from Elle Smith or Leah Williamson confirms a romantic relationship.
• Until one exists, any “how long” answer is guesswork.

Why search timelines are unreliable

• Search engines can create a couple by pairing two names that trend together, without any direct evidence.
• A timeline built from those queries has no evidentiary anchor — it reflects curiosity, not biography.

Why this matters: a reader who lands on a “how long have they been together” page deserves a page that says “unknown,” not a cheerfully invented anniversary.

The implication: no verified timeline exists for the purported relationship.

Timeline signal

Four dates, one pattern: the verified timeline is strongest around Smith’s pageant run and thinnest around her personal life.

The picture that emerges: a public career in pageantry and journalism, a private personal life, and a 2022 acting credit that still gets more attention than the day-to-day reporting that defined her early career.

Clarity: confirmed vs. unclear

• Elle Smith won Miss USA 2021 (University of Kentucky alumni profile).
• Elle Smith earned a broadcast journalism degree from the University of Kentucky in 2020 (same source).
• Elle Smith worked as a reporter for WHAS-TV in Louisville (same source).

• Exact birth date: June 19 vs. June 20 remains unresolved.
• Whether Elle Smith is in a relationship with Leah Williamson.
• Leah Williamson’s salary and net worth.
• The identity and status of Elle Smith’s partner, if she has one.

The balance here is deliberately weighted toward what is unclear, because the available evidence is not strong enough to confirm a relationship or a salary figure.

What the sources say

“Taking Action and Leading Change: Elle Smith, Miss USA 2021”

Headline, Net Impact profile of University of Kentucky alum Elle Smith

“Barefaced and in the sun with @asulprusia.”

Elle Smith, Instagram caption, October 23, 2025

The contrast between the formal profile and the casual social caption shows the tension between documented biography and personal ambiguity.

Bottom line

The verified Elle Smith is a Kentucky-educated journalist who won Miss USA 2021 and then moved on to local TV reporting. The Leah Williamson storyline is separate, far thinner, and built on name matching rather than confirmed announcements. For readers sorting fact from rumor, the choice is clear: trust the pageant record and university documents until a primary statement says otherwise — or risk treating search noise as biography.
