Who is Elle Smith and what is she known for?
Smith’s public profile didn’t start with a crown. She came up through journalism first — a path that gave her a newsroom base before the pageant world came calling. That combination of bylines and beauty titles is rare enough that most coverage only captures one slice of her.
What is Elle Smith’s professional background?
- Broadcast journalism degree from the University of Kentucky, then a multimedia journalist role at WHAS11 in Louisville from October 2020 (NPR)
- Writer credit on the 2025 series Untamed (IMDb)
The newsroom résumé matters for how people read her today: she was a working multimedia journalist when she won Miss USA, not someone who pivoted into media after a crown. The journalism and the pageant win ran in parallel, which is why her career reads differently from the typical titleholder profile. On the modeling side, Smith is tied to Wilhelmina Models, a detail that appears in coverage, in her Instagram bio, and in almost every profile written about her since the win.
What pageant title did Elle Smith win?
- Miss Kentucky USA 2021, then Miss USA 2021 (NNPA)
- Top 10 finish at Miss Universe 2021 (Grazia Daily)
The Kentucky competition was Smith’s first-ever pageant, according to NPR — she had wanted to enter since high school but waited until she had a job that could cover the costs. It’s a detail that explains the composure she showed on a national stage within months of her debut. From there, the run was fast: Kentucky, then the national title, then a Top 10 finish on the Miss Universe stage.
The implication: Smith’s win was a career amplifier, not a career switch — the newsroom credibility and the crown fed each other.
Who is Elle Smith’s partner?
Leah Williamson is the public figure most often identified as Elle Smith’s partner. Grazia Daily’s relationship coverage is the main sourced link between the two — it names Smith as Williamson’s partner and describes her modeling and pageant credentials in that context. That single editorial feature is why the two names now travel together in search results.
Is Leah Williamson an England footballer?
- England international footballer; her ACL injury has become a major public talking point (The Standard)
Williamson has been a central figure in English football, and her name carries substantial search volume on its own. The Standard’s Lioness interview is where many readers first see Elle Smith mentioned as her partner — which is how a beauty-pageant query and a football query collide into one couple.
What condition does Leah Williamson have?
ACL injuries cost athletes a year or more of playing time. Williamson’s own ACL recovery has kept her health a recurring topic in the same coverage that names Smith.
In public Q&A, “what condition does Leah Williamson have” almost always points to the ACL injury she suffered. Nor does any source confirm a spouse for Williamson — the “husband” question is one of the most common search dead ends around her name, and the answer remains the same: no public record, no marriage, no confirmation.
The catch: a footballer’s public role and a journalist’s private life overlap only in coverage — the pairing rests on media reports, not on any formal statement from either woman.
How long have Leah Williamson and Elle Smith been together?
There is no sourced answer to this question. Neither Smith nor Williamson has publicly confirmed a start date, an anniversary, or a first meeting, and the available reporting doesn’t pin one down either.
When did their relationship become public?
- Grazia Daily’s feature on “Leah Williamson’s partner” is the most-cited public link between the two
- Neither woman issued a statement confirming the relationship at that point
The relationship became visible through lifestyle and football-adjacent coverage — most prominently Grazia Daily’s partner feature — rather than through any announcement from Smith or Williamson. That distinction matters: “became visible” is not the same as “was confirmed,” and that distinction defines everything we do and don’t know about the timeline.
What public evidence tracks the relationship?
- Elle Smith’s official Instagram bio (city, agency tags, and contact email)
- Elle Smith’s official TikTok bio (“tall, dark and handsome NYC”)
- Grazia Daily’s relationship feature naming Smith as Williamson’s partner
That’s the entire evidentiary trail in the sourced record: two self-published bios and one editorial feature. It’s enough to establish that the pairing exists in public discourse — and not enough to establish a timeline.
The upshot: the absence of a documented start date is not a denial; it’s an absence. Treating it as anything more is how rumors begin.
Are Leah Williamson and Elle Smith still together?
No public breakup statement is documented in the sourced material, and neither woman has addressed the question directly. That leaves the status in a defined gray zone: nothing confirms the relationship ended, and nothing confirms it continues.
What is the latest public signal on their relationship?
- No breakup announcement from either Elle Smith or Leah Williamson is documented in available reporting
- Search interest remains high enough that Google keeps surfacing the question as a People Also Ask result
The second point is worth pausing on. When a relationship-status question keeps appearing in search, it usually means there’s no clear public answer — if there were, the question would stop being asked.
When two public figures keep their private lives off the record, the information vacuum fills with guesses. The sourced position is simpler: no confirmed status, no documented split, no official statement.
Have either addressed a split?
- No documented statement from either woman confirming or denying a split
The most honest framing of the current status is “unconfirmed” — not denied, not verified.
The trade-off: the longer both women stay quiet, the more the public narrative runs on inference. The evidence-backed position is to leave the question open.
How old is Elle Smith?
Elle Smith was born June 19, 1998, according to Wikipedia’s biography summary (Wikipedia). She is 26 in early 2025 and turns 27 in June — the kind of math her fans do quickly once they learn how fast her career moved. Biographical reports also locate her birth in Springfield, Ohio.
What is Elle Smith’s date of birth?
- June 19, 1998
What age is Leah Williamson?
- Born March 29, 1997, per the Elle Smith and Leah Williamson explainer
That puts Williamson roughly a year older than Smith — March 1997 versus June 1998 — a small gap that rarely enters the coverage, since the two built their careers in completely different arenas.
Are Elle Smith and Leah Williamson close in age?
- About a year apart: Williamson born March 29, 1997; Smith born June 19, 1998
The age proximity helps explain why the pairing feels natural to audiences, even as every concrete detail of the relationship stays private. Public records confirm the dates; nothing confirms the story around them.
The pattern: both women became public figures in their early twenties, and that shared trajectory makes the pairing resonate — even while the private details remain off the record.
Timeline: Elle Smith’s public milestones
Four markers, one thread: a journalism career that a pageant win accelerated, with a private life that stays out of frame.
| Date | Milestone |
|---|---|
| June 19, 1998 | Elle Smith is born. |
| 2021 | Crowned Miss USA after winning Miss Kentucky USA 2021 (NNPA). |
| 2025 | Credited as a writer on the series Untamed (IMDb). |
| No confirmed public date | The pairing with Leah Williamson becomes a recurring public question with no documented start date. |
What the dates show: every confirmed milestone is a career event. None is a relationship marker — which is itself the finding.
Confirmed facts vs. what’s unclear
The sourced record and the speculative record need different columns. This split keeps them apart — what has solid attribution goes in one list; everything else stays open.
Confirmed facts
- Elle Smith won Miss USA 2021 (NNPA)
- Elle Smith was born June 19, 1998, per the UrbanMixr biography overview
- Leah Williamson is an England footballer, per the Elle Smith and Leah Williamson explainer
What’s unclear
- Elle Smith’s exact ethnic background
- Exact relationship start date
- Current relationship status
- Leah Williamson’s exact salary
- Whether Elle Smith has a spouse
The trap is treating “publicly linked” as “confirmed couple.” A media feature and two bios establish that the pairing exists in public discourse; they do not establish the inner details of a private relationship.

The two bios show how Smith brands herself publicly — New York, modeling, and a contact email doing the work of a press page. The NPR detail explains why her pageant run started later than it might have: she treated it as an expense she had to earn first.
Summary
Elle Smith’s public record splits down the middle: a career that’s thoroughly sourced — Miss USA 2021, a journalism background, a modeling agency, a writer credit — and a private life that remains mostly inference. The reliable takeaway is to read “publicly linked” literally: linked in coverage, not confirmed in every detail. For readers who want the fullest verified picture, the choice is clear: follow the sourced career facts, and leave the relationship questions open until Smith or Williamson answers them directly.
